Instead of Goodbye

Instead of Goodbye is a children's book by Sadie Mueck which she devoted to her students finishing primary school. Each child's character in the book is based on a real student. I used photographs to paint the children as well as to imagine what they might look like as adults.
Instead of Goodbye is a heartwarming message that captures the spirit of the last day of school. The teacher bids farewell to her class with the phrase "I'll see you when I will!" Throughout the story, the teacher describes the ways she will see her students again and encourages them to pursue their dreams. It's a charming reminder that goodbyes don't have to be forever, and the teacher-student connection can last a lifetime.
